Host A Private Painting Party at Studio 614

This past weekend, I helped co-organize a private painting party at the Studio 614 for my cousin’s birthday. With all the craziness going on in the world, it’s nice to celebrate moments like these with people you love. And for this awesome human being, we decided to do something special for her.

If you don’t know, birthdays are by far my favorite. When I was growing up, my mother always planned and executed the best birthday parties. As a kid, my birthday was the best holiday of the year and it still is. My Mom always had my parties decorated, themed, and loaded with games and tons of prizes.

Even till this day, I have grade school friends who have told me that attending my birthdays were some of their favorite childhood memories. Not because of me, but because of the thought my Mom put into planning. The excitement of blowing out candles, opening presents and seeing all my friends gave me the best feelings in the world.

For some reason, life hit some of us too hard (maybe it was the premature grays). As I got older, I’ve noticed that some people think birthdays should have less significance in our lives. Not everyone is guaranteed another year, and yet we still did that shit. You deserve to celebrate that. Birthdays should always be a big deal; no matter how old you get.

While apple picking and carving pumpkins are some of my favorite Fall time activities, hosting a private party at the Studio 614 is also a great way to have fun this season. The Studio 614, located on Summit Street near OSU’s campus, offers exclusive DIY paint parties in a fun and relaxing environment.

And for all you Fall-crazed fanatics, they even created projects reflecting the season of autumn for those looking to express their artistic talents both on and off the canvas.

All classes are structured with different projects and paintings, but all classes are great for beginners. For our class, Jessie (our instructor) provided hands-on support and guided us through the process of creating our beautifully-colored pineapples. Tell us in the comments what you think.

Studio 614 not only offers private parties for birthdays, but also for weddings, bachelorette events, or corporate gatherings. These events can be held almost anywhere, from a park to a local bar, or even your own living room or garage. You can leave it up to your imagination to explore your artistic talents.

Thank you to the staff at Studio 614 for accommodating our last minute request. We truly had a amazing time celebrating my cousin’s birthday and look forward to attending many more classes in the future.
