You’ll come in for a drink and walk out with new friends. This new space is perfect for date night, GNO (girls night out), a night cap, and much more.

Watershed Kitchen and Bar Old Fashion Cocktail

All my cocktail enthusiasts and whiskey connoisseurs will be thoroughly impressed with the drink and three course food menus. My fiance, Lawrence, and I highly recommend the whiskey lullaby for him and the Bon Apple Tea for her. Their artisan cocktail menu has a range of bold, airy and classic spirits. We promise you you’ll find your new favorite drink here.

From small bites for personal pleasure to smothered gravy over fried chicken that you can share, you won’t be able to stop yourself once you get started. The sweet and spicy house-made sauce paired with the crispy outer skin of the chicken is absolutely delicious. As Lawrence and I swooned over the food menu, we finally had the chance to catch up with each other from our busy work weeks. The space offers intimacy and relaxation, which is exactly what we both needed.

The menu has limited options, but packs a powerful punch. It offers just enough to satisfy even the pickiest eater. So far, my menu favorites are the crispy potato fingerlings (with a thick sweet lemon sauce), brussel sprouts, slow-braised short rib and fried chicken. I have yet to try the pork and beans and braised meatballs, but I have no doubt in my mind that their top contenders as well.

Honestly, this is my new favorite spot, and if you happen to see me while you’re out, say “hi.” Watershed Kitchen & Bar has a philosophy that focuses on the best ingredients, the best people and the best stories and I believe it. Their food and service definitely reflect the love they have for their community and other small businesses as well. If you haven’t been already, stop in for a drink at the bar or make a dinner reservation today.

Thanks to the passion and efforts of the Watershed Distillery staff and community for making Watershed Kitchen and Bar a reality for Columbus and the state of Ohio. By working together with government and small businesses, House Bill 351 was passed May 2016 to allow distilleries to compete equally against the wine and beer industries to serve and sell the products (spirits) in the facility in which they are made. Not only that, but the makers of Watershed Distillery can now create and serve their own cocktails while offering complimentary food to match. This is a BFD, just so you know.

Distilleries serving their own drinks and food is a game-changer and I am beyond excited for them to finally have this moment. And I’m even more excited to see what seasonal concoctions they have up their sleeves along with kickin’ it on their patio this summer. Hopefully, sooner than later. Again, thank you Watershed Kitchen & Bar staff for hosting my fiance and I at your new restaurant. This restaurant is truly a gift to Columbus residents and visitors alike.
